Neil Davies - Solutions Architect
With over 30 years of experience in software development, Neil brings a deep and diverse technical background spanning multiple industries, including insurance, manufacturing, food services, hospitality, and most recently, healthcare, with more than 15 years of service in the NHS.
A highly skilled developer and technical leader, Neil has extensive experience in a wide array of programming languages including C#, C++, C, Java, Visual Basic, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript. He is proficient with a range of modern development frameworks such as Angular, Ionic, .NET, Entity Framework, and Knockout.
In addition to software development, Neil is an expert in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. He was the original developer behind the Stoke Primary Care Trust’s data warehouse, building it from the ground up using the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS). He also designed and automated ETL processes that integrated with external systems and websites.
With over 25 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server, Neil is highly proficient in database administration, performance tuning, and maintenance. His database expertise extends to other platforms including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
As a development manager, Neil has led multiple teams, introduced modern development tools, and successfully implemented Agile/Scrum methodologies. His leadership has resulted in increased client engagement, improved collaboration, and more effective delivery of high-quality software solutions tailored to user needs.
Neil is also skilled in systems analysis, with a strong track record of evaluating existing systems and identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality improvements through automation and technology.
