The Digital Innovation Unit (DIU) is dedicated to leveraging technology to improve health and care. We aim to develop innovative digital/AI solutions that address some of the NHS's greatest challenges, enhancing the quality of care and reducing costs.
History
Established in 2012, the DIU was born from the NHS with the goal of improving the development and implementation of cutting-edge digital services. Our team consists of some of the NHS's most talented digital specialists, including developers, project managers, business analysts, digital technologists, and strategy leaders.
Meet the team
The DIU operates as part of the NHS Midlands and Lancashire CSU. Our team adopts an agile development process and boasts a wealth of knowledge in digital infrastructure, AI, cyber security, business analysis, research and development.
